Bazooka Joe & his Gang present Popeye the Sailor in some of his best episodes ever. Popeye opened in the summer of 1933 as part of the "Betty Boop" series. What followed was the classic Popeye plot: Olive leaves with Popeye, Bluto follows the couple, and the two sailors compete for Olives attentions through feats of strength. Bluto then abducts Olive and ties her to a train track. Just in the nick of time, Popeye defeats Bluto, and, through the magical powers of spinach, stops the train and saves Olive.
