Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009) – Blu-ray – Used
Safety never takes a holiday! Kevin James stars in this good-natured action comedy about an unlikely hero who takes his shopping-mall security job very seriously—even when nobody else does. Directed by Steve Carr, Paul Blart: Mall Cop blends slapstick laughs, family-friendly fun and an underdog adventure.
Detailed Movie Synopsis
Paul Blart (Kevin James) is a devoted single father who dreams of becoming a New Jersey State Trooper. Despite his dedication, a medical condition keeps him from passing the police academy's physical exam. For now, he proudly patrols the West Orange Pavilion Mall as a security guard, enforcing the rules from his trusty personal transporter.
While raising his daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez) and trying to catch the attention of Amy Anderson (Jayma Mays), a friendly employee at a mall kiosk, Paul attempts to train a new security guard, Veck Simms (Keir O'Donnell). But during the hectic holiday shopping season, a gang of criminals takes over the mall and holds employees and shoppers hostage. Suddenly, the man everyone underestimated is the only one left inside who can help.
With no firearm, little backup and a whole lot of determination, Paul must use his knowledge of the mall, improvised tactics and surprising bravery to outwit the thieves and rescue the people he cares about. What follows is a lively mix of physical comedy, unexpected action and heartfelt moments as an everyday security guard gets the chance to become a genuine hero.
