Appaloosa (2008)
In the lawless New Mexico Territory of the 1880s, veteran peacekeepers Virgil Cole (Ed Harris) and Everett Hitch (Viggo Mortensen) are hired to restore order to the troubled town of Appaloosa. Their biggest challenge is ruthless rancher Randall Bragg (Jeremy Irons), whose power and intimidation have made him seemingly untouchable. As Cole and Hitch confront Bragg, the arrival of the intriguing Allison French (Renée Zellweger) tests their friendship and complicates their mission. This thoughtful, character-driven Western combines tense showdowns, dry humor, and a story of loyalty and justice.
