Detailed Movie Synopsis
As war rages on Cybertron, Optimus Prime sends the Autobot B-127 to Earth to establish a safe haven for his fellow Autobots. Hunted by enemies, badly damaged, and unable to speak, the yellow robot hides in the form of an old Volkswagen Beetle in a California junkyard.
Charlie Watson, a teenager struggling with grief and feeling out of place in her family, discovers the battered car and brings it home as a birthday gift to herself. She soon learns that the Beetle is actually a transforming alien robot. Naming him Bumblebee, Charlie begins repairing him and forms an unlikely but powerful friendship with her new companion. Her neighbor Memo is drawn into their secret, too.
Meanwhile, the Decepticons Shatter and Dropkick arrive on Earth, searching for Bumblebee and manipulating a government agency into helping them track him down. As the danger escalates, Charlie must find the courage to protect her friend while Bumblebee rediscovers his own purpose. Their adventure leads to a thrilling confrontation that could determine the future of the Autobots on Earth.
