Whispering Smith (1948)
Luke "Whispering" Smith (Alan Ladd) is a mild-mannered policeman tasked with stopping a gang of train robbers, led by Barney Rebstock (Donald Crisp). Luke is faced with a conflict of interest when his good friend, Murray Sinclair (Robert Preston), loses his railroad job and, in an act of defiance, joins Rebstock's gang of outlaws. To make things even more complicated, Luke's friendship with Murray's ex-wife, Marian (Brenda Marshall), is becoming romantic.
The Duel at Silver Creek (1952)
A gang of outlaws is murdering miners and taking over their claims, but they cross the wrong man when they target the father of Luke Cromwell (Audie Murphy), a gunslinger known as "the Silver Kid." The local marshal, "Lightning" Tyrone (Stephen McNally), is also tracking the gang, but receives a crippling injury during a gunfight. Tyrone deputizes Cromwell, and the two take on the murderers together, while trying to resist the charms of Opal (Faith Domergue), the new beauty in town.
War Arrow (1953)
A cavalry officer is dispatched by Washington to handle an Indian uprising in Texas. His idea is to arm and train a friendly tribe to help the local garrison quell the trouble - which is not welcomed by the fort's commander. Further troubles ensue when the officer falls for the woman whom the garrison commander loves.
