Deadpool 2 (2018) – DVD
The Merc with a Mouth is back—and he's bringing friends, enemies, outrageous jokes and explosive superhero action! Ryan Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson in Deadpool 2, the wildly irreverent follow-up to the smash-hit original. Directed by David Leitch, this R-rated Marvel action-comedy combines over-the-top fights, sharp satire, surprising heart and plenty of fourth-wall-breaking humor.
Detailed Movie Synopsis
After a devastating personal loss, wisecracking mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), better known as Deadpool, struggles to find a new purpose. An encounter with Russell Collins (Julian Dennison), a troubled young mutant who can generate powerful flames, gives Wade an unexpected chance to become something resembling a hero.
But Russell is being hunted by Cable (Josh Brolin), a battle-hardened cybernetic soldier who has traveled back from a bleak future to prevent a tragedy. Determined to protect the boy, Deadpool decides he needs backup. He recruits a hilariously mismatched team of would-be superheroes known as X-Force, including the extraordinarily lucky Domino (Zazie Beetz), the imposing Bedlam (Terry Crews) and several other memorable recruits.
As the situation spirals into spectacular chaos, Deadpool faces formidable opponents, unexpected alliances and the difficult realization that saving someone may require more than sarcasm, swords and a healing factor. Between relentless action sequences, comic-book references and his signature running commentary, Wade discovers a surprisingly heartfelt lesson about friendship, family and second chances.
