Sly & the Family Stone — Hot Fun in the Summertime / Fun (1969) — 7-Inch Vinyl 45 RPM
A joyful summer classic from one of the most influential funk and soul groups of the late 1960s. Released on Epic Records in July 1969, “Hot Fun in the Summertime” combines relaxed, sun-drenched melodies with the band's distinctive blend of soul, pop and psychedelic funk. The song climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of the group's signature hits. On the B-side, “Fun” offers a lively taste of the band's earlier psychedelic-soul sound, originally heard on the 1968 album Life.
