Night at the Museum (2006) – Full Screen DVD – Used
When the museum closes, the adventure begins! Ben Stiller stars in this imaginative, family-friendly comedy adventure directed by Shawn Levy, where history comes to life in the most unexpected ways.
Detailed Movie Synopsis
Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) is a down-on-his-luck dreamer trying to find steady work and become a dependable father to his young son, Nick (Jake Cherry). When he accepts a night-security position at New York City's Museum of Natural History, Larry expects long, quiet shifts watching over priceless exhibits. Instead, his first night on the job turns into an unbelievable adventure.
Thanks to the mysterious power of an ancient Egyptian tablet, the museum's displays spring to life after sunset. A mischievous capuchin monkey steals Larry's keys, miniature cowboys and Roman soldiers wage tiny battles, a gigantic Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton races through the halls, and figures from history roam freely. Larry must somehow keep the chaotic exhibits under control and make sure everything is back in place by sunrise.
With help from the wise and courageous Theodore Roosevelt (Robin Williams), Larry gradually learns the museum's secrets and befriends its extraordinary inhabitants, including Sacagawea (Mizuo Peck), the miniature cowboy Jedediah (Owen Wilson), and Roman general Octavius (Steve Coogan). But when a dangerous plot threatens the magical tablet, Larry must unite his unlikely allies and prove that he is capable of being the hero his son believes he can be.
Packed with lively special effects, slapstick humor, heartwarming moments and famous historical characters, Night at the Museum is a fun adventure for families and fans of magical comedies.
