Overview
Satan's Little Helper is a darkly comic 2004 Halloween horror film written and directed by Jeff Lieberman. Blending slasher suspense, twisted humor and a child's dangerously innocent imagination, this cult favorite turns a night of costumes and trick-or-treating into a nightmare.
Synopsis
Nine-year-old Douglas “Dougie” Whooly loves the video game Satan's Little Helper. When his older sister Jenna returns home for Halloween with her boyfriend Alex, a jealous Dougie storms off and meets a silent stranger wearing a devil costume. Believing he has found the real Satan, the boy eagerly volunteers to become his helper. But the gruesome scenes the pair encounter are no harmless Halloween pranks: the masked stranger is a killer, and Dougie's family is soon caught in his terrifying game. As identities and costumes blur, the holiday takes an increasingly sinister turn.
