Disney's Wreck-It Ralph (2012) — Animated Video Game Adventure
Step inside the arcade for a funny, heartfelt Disney animated adventure where video game characters have lives of their own after the players go home. Wreck-It Ralph combines imaginative digital worlds, colorful action, nostalgia, and a moving story about friendship and discovering that being a hero is about more than the role you're assigned.
Detailed Story Synopsis
For thirty years, Ralph has played the villain in the arcade game Fix-It Felix Jr., smashing a building while the cheerful hero Felix repairs the damage and wins everyone's praise. Tired of being treated like the bad guy, Ralph decides to prove he can be a hero by earning a medal of his own. His quest takes him beyond his game, first into the intense sci-fi shooter Hero's Duty and then into the candy-colored racing game Sugar Rush.
In Sugar Rush, Ralph meets Vanellope von Schweetz, an energetic young racer who is shunned by the other characters because she glitches. Although their personalities clash, Ralph and Vanellope form an unlikely friendship and help each other pursue their dreams. Meanwhile, Felix and Sergeant Calhoun search for Ralph as a dangerous threat spreads through the arcade's connected games.
When a hidden secret threatens Sugar Rush, Ralph must choose between his own desire for recognition and the well-being of the friend who believes in him. The result is a fast-moving, imaginative story about acceptance, sacrifice, and what it really means to be good.
